Carpet & Floor Care Technician
About This Role
SparkTex Cleaners is hiring a Carpet and Floor Care Technician to operate our specialty floor cleaning equipment and deliver premium surface restoration services to residential and commercial clients across the Conroe and North Houston area. This is a skilled technical role for someone who enjoys working with professional equipment and takes pride in transforming worn, stained surfaces into like-new condition.
Your daily work will include hot-water carpet extraction (steam cleaning), floor buffing and burnishing, tile and grout deep cleaning, hardwood floor care, and vinyl or VCT floor stripping and waxing. You will assess floor conditions before each job, select appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment settings, and execute multi-step processes that restore surfaces to their best possible condition.
SparkTex invests in top-tier commercial equipment — truck-mounted extractors, high-speed burnishers, orbital scrubbers, and professional-grade chemical systems. If you already have equipment experience, you will appreciate working with reliable, well-maintained tools. If you are mechanically inclined but new to floor care, we provide comprehensive hands-on training that covers every piece of equipment and every surface type you will encounter.
This role offers a unique combination of technical skill and tangible results. There is deep satisfaction in watching a heavily stained carpet come back to life or seeing a dull commercial floor gleam after a proper strip-and-wax treatment. Our floor care clients are often amazed by the transformation, and their referrals drive a significant portion of our specialty business.
Compensation reflects the specialized nature of this work, with premium hourly rates, a company vehicle provided for equipment transport on routes, and a clear growth path into a Specialty Cleaning Lead position. If you have mechanical aptitude and an interest in skilled trade work within the cleaning industry, this is an exceptional opportunity.
